Most of us in business spend a great deal of time on keeping our client's happy, giving quality service, and forgetting to take care of the fundamentals of our own health, and the basic health of the business.  While these efforts may work for a certain amount of time, we begin to see several things happen.  

  1. People are not following their business plan closely. Some do not have them.
  2. People begin to not have enough clients, so they begin to cut costs.
  3. The expense & energy toward good marketing strategy begin to be cut.
  4. The marketing stops and very soon customers do not call.  
Understand it does not have to be this way.  Even BANKS today will not LOAN a business money without a MARKETING PLAN within the business plan. The banks expect you to spend a certain amount of loaned funds toward marketing. Obviously they think this is important to a business.....so why don't small businesses get the message????

Marketing Seems Overwhelming unless you are a natural or have had classes.  Sales People call you daily or walk in telling you --- you need this --- you need that.  Pretty soon the message cuts off (like the radio, the TV, the magazine, the ADS on the web).
